This is what it looks like after all the molding and colouring. and you know thats butter lamps
Close up of the molded statue made from flour
They are monks, not all of them are monk. some of them are regular person but knows some religious prayer i guess. those in orange and red robe are monk. those in ashes and other robes is called gho, traditional dress for men in Bhutan. They are making molded statue from the flour, butter and water. Molded statues repersents a spritual God or sth (not sure).
This picture is one of offering made to the God on a special annual ceremony which is called Lho Choe.
This offerin contains different rages of food as well as cash and jewels.

New Year

hey everyone..i know its been like ages since i up dated my blog. i am such a lousy blogger...but i have been busy..really. well i was on vacation in  my own country..enjoying my life in Bhutan with my lovely family. i miss the,m already bcuz i am back in my school. But hey its not like i haven't taken any pics. i took alot...i took my cam everywhere i went ( one thing my teach taught me) i had fun taking pics. For those who are foreign to our bhutanese cluture, i took pics of religious ceremony( which is called rimdo in our lingo). i took pics of traditional dish that is usually served during such occasion. and my pictures went out of focus and i had to take it again agian. Trust me, its not easy to take pictures again and agian during such occassion because, all the people in the house is busy preparing dishes and arranging stuffs for the ceremony. kids running here and there, people rushing here and there, being pushed, shuffled, and all. its hard to focus. but still i managed to take some pictures.
not only that..i was hanging out with my freinds in capital (which is in Thimphu) in a freezing weather...i took pics on streets.
Oh btw..even this year 2011 i have these "things to do" list which is kind of resolution but not excatly resolution. i wanted  to buy myself a watch from my own pocket money that i saved up, and guess what i did it. so one of the things is done. and few more to go. oh yeah i have to submit my pictures to docubhutan since they are exhibiting. so dead line is on 20th jan i guess. i am even saving up cash to buy myself a good slr professional camera. ^_^ so wish me luck with things to list for 2011.

P.S: of course i will up load some pictures soon.
